PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The safety of each individual in Barangay Sun Valley is of utmost importance. Burglaries
and break-ins are not uncommon in this barangay, as the houses are left unattended or
prone to thieves. Introducing, S.A.S.S. (Security Alarm Safety System), an innovation
made for the purpose of securing a household in order to deter burglaries. Product
Name is an alarm system, featuring one main system server, and several other alarms
that may be connected to the possible entrances of a household (i.e. doors and
windows). If any of these alarms are triggered, then a panic alarm/notification would be
delivered to the nearest police station, alarming them of your location. Through this, the
police shall be able to send patrols to the household, ultimately apprehending the culprit
and keeping your home safe.
RATIONALE
The following are the main purposes of S.A.S.S.
1. Securing the households of individuals, particularly in areas prone to these
kinds of instances.
Most of our belongings are kept in our house. So it is a given that a thiefs first place
to steal from is someones household. According to statistics, about 2.5 million
house intrusions are committed annually. Moreover, the FBI has stated that home
break-ins are the most common threats to our home. Thus, S.A.S.S. will be
equipped with alarms to make sure that a residence will be monitored. With this,
households would be more secure and ones belongings would be safe from
thieves.
2. Lessening the areas crime rate/ apprehending criminals who commit house
intrusion.
Akyat Bahay literally means "Climb-House." This is a robbery gang that specializes
in breaking into houses and stealing valuable items to be sold. The Philippines'
street crime rate has increased to 57%, and it continues to increase yearly,
especially in places such as Barangay Sun Valley. With Barangay Sun Valley

having all kinds of danger, improved security is a must. With the "name" you
wouldn't have worry about the Akyat Bahay boys who can strike your house at any
time. Through the system interface, intruders would be easily detected by the
alarms, and their presence would be sent to the police, who will then arrive at the
scene to arrest the said criminal. Which is why the "name" is needed in Barangay
Sun Valley, because it can help the community target one of their major problems in
street crimes, which is the Akyat Bahay boys/ burglars.
FEATURES, ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS
1. Alarms that can connect to any house entrance
The S.A.S.S. includes several alarms, which may be simultaneously connected to
house entrances such as windows, doors, etc. This ensures that each vulnerability
of a household shall be detected for intruders, all at the same time. The alarms
would be able to detect a any issues or deficiencies such as a breaking/opening of a
lock, glass window, etc.
2. Single server connectivity
As previously mentioned, several different alarms would be set up around a house,
and all of these would be connected to one single server. The server may be
located in the living room, or any part of the house that can accommodate it. The
server has a simple interface, which would require location services and the
location, contact information, etc. of the nearest police station.
3. Relays panic alarm to the police
If one of the alarms is triggered, then this deficiency would be relayed to the main
system server. Afterwards, a notification would be sent to the police, informing them
that a house break-in is currently happening in the location of the intruded house.
Thus, the police would be able to send a team to apprehend the burglar.

4. Wireless remote and a smartphone/tablet app, which can unlock/turn off the
system
In order to avoid triggering the alarm when a welcome visitor enters the house, the
S.A.S.S. would come with a wireless remote. The remote is capable of turning off
the system from outside your home, given that you input the assigned security code.
In addition to this, the S.A.S.S. app would be available (for free) to smartphones and
tablets. The app would also be capable of shutting off the system, given that there is
a working Bluetooth connectivity. All of this would be provided along with the alarms
and server so that there would not be any unnecessary/inconvenient alarms
triggered or data relays to the police.
COMPETITIVE EDGE
The products competitive edges focus largely on its technical features, easy use, and its
ability to create a positive result that users expect.
1. Easy To Use
The product is simple and easy to use. In contrast with its competitors, the process
on how to use the S.A.S.S. is trouble-free and practically effortless. Since every
alarm will be connected to one server, connectivity will not be an issue. To be able
to turn this server on is simple as well, as all that has to be done is to flip the switch
on to activate the alarm. Likewise, to turn the server off, the switch must be flipped
downward. If the homeowner is outside and the alarm is on, all they need to do in
order to shut off is to use the provided remote/app and the server will shut down, so
that the resident would be able to go in without triggering the alarms.
2. Detects Intruders
An advantage that that S.A.S.S. has compared to its competitors is its ability to
detect an intruder. The product has a big advantage as that it doesnt need a panic
button in order to alarm the police, as compared to other products being used. All
that would be needed is to turn the main server on and S.A.S.S. would be able to

detect a trespasser, and the intruders presence would be notified to the police right
away.
3. Extra Security to your household
Since every alarm connected from your windows, doors, etc. leads to only one
server, it gives better protection since it can connect to several entrances in a home.
Having several alarms would lessen the vulnerable areas in the house that can be
entered by a trespasser. The server would also send a panic alarm to the nearest
police station immediately, thus the police can send reinforcements to protect the
household.

MARKET
Given the range and variety of its products, the S.A.S.S.s main target is (but is not
limited to) the middle until the upper-class market. The product targets the homeowners
who own large houses and the people who are prone to break-ins. Concrete examples
of targets for prospective investors include Ayala Alabang Village, Execuive Heights in
Barangay Sun Valley, Verdana, and Condominiums. The S.A.S.S. has aimed to pursue
the areas that would want extra security and the areas that are prone to break-ins and
robbery. The demand for the product will continuously go up, since that the street crimes
around the Philippines have yet to improve. With street crimes rapidly growing and
changing in various ways from the Akyat Bahay until the Condo Criminals security is
greatly needed. The S.A.S.S. offers the need and aids in satisfying the demand for
security in your very own household. The S.A.S.S. shall be sold through private
transactions with the buyers. Interested parties may avail of the product and its services
through contacting the S.A.S.S. Company directly. The brand shall also be advertised
straight to its prospective investors, given the market explained previously.

The total price of our product, the SASS, is Php 26,500, including alarms for the
minimum of two doors. It may seem to be expensive for its suggested price, however the
price of security is worth it. Furthermore, our model, guarantees the best quality of
product in every shipment.
The wires would cost at an estimated amount of Php3,750 as it costs Php20 per meter
and an average square meter of a house in Barangay Sun Valley is around 150 square
meter. Extra services include, free check ups when there are faulty results of our
product, and up to 20% discount for repair fees.
It is vital to be worried about information security because much of the value of a
