1. Change the hostname or Machine Name of System.

1. $ gedit /etc/hostname
[[Edit oldname to new]]
2. $ gedit /etc/hosts
[[edit line this to 127.0.1.1

oldname to new ]]

2. Logged in as root user in startup or directly go to command prompt.

1. Press cntrl + F1
[[to enter cmd menu ]]
2.enter name as root & pwd
3.Back to main user menu cntrl + F7
3. to Hibernate using command prompt.
1. sudo pm-hibernate
or
1. pmi action suspend//hibernate
