Strengths/Next Steps for Improvement
What a wonderful first semester for Alannah! She has proven herself to be a
very confident and able second language learner. ' takes pride in all her
written work and never fails to produce beautiful final products. Although, she
can at times spend a lot of time on her presentation which does sometimes
hinder her chance at beginning extended tasks which she is more than
capable of. Alannah uses the correct stroke direction and rarely needs to be
reminded of letter formation. She is able to identify almost all of the letters
and their corresponding sounds that we have covered this semester but
sometimes finds lowercase symbols challenging. Alannah has become a much
loved member of our class and I encourage and support her to take some

more risks when sharing her thoughts and ideas in a whole class environment.
