Dear Sir A. A. Popov

I am very interested for participation in research in your Institute of Biochemical Physics through
IAESTE program. I am currently student of fourth year of studies on Department of Chemical
Engineering of Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. It is honor for me
that this traineeship is offered to me.
Fact that the traineeship is focused on Material Science interested me further because during my
studies I have listen course Materials Science in third year of studies. During that course I have
experienced laboratory work with solid materials. So I can tell that I have had both basic and
intensive course about materials during studies. I am very motivated and ready for getting more
knowledge about solid materials. During my first two year of studies I learn a lot about fundamental
sciences like Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics with intensive laboratory practical work. In my
third and current year I have focused on almost all parts of chemical engineering – transport
phenomena, unit operations, equipment for unit operations, process design and design of equipment,
materials science, process regulation etc. Also I would like to say that I am trained on my faculty to
use such software as MATLAB, Fortran, Design II or ChemCad.
This offer gives me a chance to upgrade my knowledge, to find out new interesting things in material
science and to experience real work in research team. I want to give my best for your project and I’m
sure that you will be satisfied with my work and commitment.
Also I really like to meet new people and find out new cultures and cities. I would like to find out
your country, city and culture. I am communicative and humoristic young man, always ready for
new friendships. I am sure that I will find lot of new friends during traineeship in Moscow.
You can be sure that by choosing me for traineeship you will cooperate with one hard-worker, team
player and person with very strong will for professional improvement. I speak and write very good
English and fair German. Also I’m ready to learn Russian. I hope that we shall cooperate.
