In this piece we were supposed to compare and contrast the

viewpoints of Malcolm X and Joseph Penial on the life of Malcolm X. I found

Penials point of view more objective, but in some ways more truthful. Going
into this project I was a bit overwhelmed. I found I disagreed with Malcolms
point of view quite a lot so I found it difficult to remain impartial and
unbiased. However, when the project was done, I was proud of the writing I
created. I ran into some obstacles when trying to figure out non figurative
meanings of things, but with a little bit of help, I was able to decipher some
useful evidence that I used in my paper.
In this paper I introduced a sufficient claim and used transition words
to transition between like ideas in my text as mentioned in standard
ELAGSEL9-10W1. I also maintained a formal tone as mentioned in standard
ELAGSEL9-10W1. Each viewpoint is a counterargument and I explained each
fairly and equally, as referenced in ELAGSEL9-10W1. As well, I provided a
concluding statement, Penial and Malcolm have very different views on
Malcolms life and motivations as to wrap up my article and give it a definite
ending. This is in reference to ELAGSEL9-10W1. As I had also read,
annotated, and organized information into sections, I went through the
proper writing procedure as written in ELAGSEL9-10W5.
