Week 11 Level 2 Decision
1. To check the selectivity and yield of reaction with respect to reactor scheme and conversion
2. By using the given production of desired product, to calculate the mole balances for inputoutput of components in the process with the given options. Decisions on raw material to be
made.
3. To optimize the yield of production by using economic potential level 2
Week 12 & 13 Level 3 Decision
1. To determine the need of having recycle and manage the recycle stream: whether it needs
compressor or not.
2. Decision on reactor scheme in detail: feed ratio, temperature, pressure, type of reactors and
number of reactors in specific arrangement.
3. To draw block diagram for process with reactors and conduct mole balance calculation
4. analysis and develop complete justification of decisions made for the economic potential at
level 3
