Johnson County District Court Judge Charles Droege sentenced 18 year old Conner Estrella to 66 months in custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections. Estrella plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter while DUI and aggravated battery while DUI on August 20, 2015. This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Keith Henderson and Jonathan Zadina. ADAs Don Hymer and Andrew Jennings covered the court proceedings while it was pending in juvenile court. Date: April 14, 2015 The States Motion Requesting Waiver of Conner Estrella to Adult Status was granted by Judge Thomas Foster. He was charged as an adult in District Court case number 15CR897. Date: September 16, 2014 Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe announced that 17 year old Conner Estrella of Overland Park, Kansas, was been charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter and one count of aggravated battery in the death of Kevin Moroney and for seriously injuring Maureen Hogg. These charges stemmed from an incident that occurred while the victims were pedestrians in the area of 84th and Tomahawk Rd. in Overland Park on August 7, 2014. Estrella has been charged in District Court case number 14JV1180, with a Motion Requesting Waiver to Adult Status also filed by the State. This incident was investigated by the Overland Park Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriffs Office Criminalistics Laboratory. ********************************************************************
