Fraction Circle Game

Put all the fraction circle pieces in the bank.
Take turns to roll the die (, , , 3/8, 5/8, 2/4)
and collect what ever you roll from the bank.
You may need to swap and exchange as
necessary.
The winner is the person who has made the most
wholes when the bank has run out of fraction
pieces.

Fraction Bingo

The teacher makes fractions with the circle pieces.

If players have the fraction that is made on their board
they cover that fraction with a counter.
This includes fractions that are equivalent to the fraction
that is made, e.g. 2/3 is made so 4/6 and 8/12 can also
be covered.
The first player to cover all of their fractions calls
Bingo!
www.tetoitupu.org

Make 4 Wholes
Each player take turns to roll the two
dice, makes a frac?on (less than 1)
and shades the frac?on on the game
board. For example,
Player 1: Rolls 1 and 4 so shades
Player rolls 2 and 3 so shades 2/3

If a player is unable to shade in
frac?on they miss a turn.

Encourage students to discuss what
they discover during the game. E.g.
equivalent frac?ons = 3/6
