Summer Reading Assignment

Choose one of the following options for one of the two summer reading books:

Create a publication that displays your understanding of the novel

through 8-10 signposts.
Remember to include the page number, the actual line from the text and
your answer to the anchor question above.
Possible Ideas:
-Chronicle your characters development through contrast and
contradictions.
-Present what the character learned through words of the wiser
moments.
-Analyze symbols/situations through again and again moments.
-Show how several signposts lead you to an understanding of a conflict
or a particular theme.

Create a handmade or multi-media presentation that addresses at least

four of the following:

Characters
Setting
Summary
Theme
Figurative Language
Point of View

Note:
All presentations need to include:
1 direct quotation (evidence from the text) per topic to prove your
claims

In September, you will complete a writing assignment that will require you to know the details of both of your summer reading books.
