2. Open circuit If the conduct path of the circuit is not completed, no
current will flow to the circuit
3. Closed Circuit- If the conduct path is complete, current will flow to the
circuit.

direct or regulate the behavior of other devices or systems.
5. Open Loop Control System is a single line loop system by where a
signal travels from the input devices to the logic/control devices and
lastly through the output devices.
6. Close Loop systems feedback is a mechanism, process or signal that is
looped back to control a system within itself.
7. Toggle switches are devices having a plurality of terminals and means
operated by a lever for making and breaking electrical connections
between pairs of those terminals.
8. Limit switches are configured to detect when a systems element has
moved to a certain position.
9. Inductive proximity sensors are electronic proximity sensors, which
detect metallic objects without touching them. It uses electromagnetic
field to sense objects.

Capacitive Proximity sensors produce an electrostatic field to
sense objects. Capacitive proximity switches will sense metal as well
as nonmetallic materials such as paper, glass, liquids, and cloth.

Ultrasonic proximity sensors use a transducer to send and
receive high frequency sound signals.

Photoelectric sensors are position sensing devices. It uses a
modulated light beam that is either broken or reflected by the target.

Motors are machine that produces mechanical movement when
supplied by electricity. This motion is caused by the interaction of
magnetic fields and current-carrying conductors.

Solenoid valves are electronic valve that controls the flow of
liquid or gas by running or stopping an electric current through a
solenoid, which is a coil of wire, thus changing the state of the valve.
15. Relays are electro-mechanical switches that are triggered by supplying
electricity through its coil.
