Email Subject: Come FLY with the CSL

Hi Chardae,

I really liked your piece that you wrote in the Sentinel on the PRSA Real
World Conference, I felt like you really brought the event alive to
readers. I wanted to reach out to you to tell you about a series of
events that the Center for Student Leadership will be having on
campus and we would love for you to attend and tell your readers
about.

I wanted to let you know about the Finding Leadership in Yourself

workshop series because I believe that your readers would be greatly
interested in these events. The FLY workshops are available to all
students at Kennesaw State University and are a great way for them to
discover what leadership is, and how they can use those skills in their
everyday lives. The events are completely free to students and are
given by the professional staff of the CSL.

We want to make sure that you knew that the next FLY workshop is
going to be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Social Sciences
Building, room 2033. For more information on the event please refer to the press released
attached. If you are interested in attending the event, I can arrange for you to meet with
students and faculty who have participated for personal interviews. You can access a full
schedule of all of the FLY workshops on OwlLife.

I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for your attention to this matter,

Katherine Ellsworth, director of public relations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FLY with the CSL

KENNESAW, Ga. (Feb. 18, 2015)- The Center for Student Leadership invites all
Kennesaw State University students to participate in the How Do You Lead? workshop.
The workshop will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Social
Sciences Building, room 2033.
The upcoming workshop is part of the Finding Leadership in Yourself series
and will allow students to discover what their personal leadership skills are. Students will
be able to have a personalized experience where they can discover the tools on how they
lead, and how to implement those skills in their personal lives as well as their student
groups and organizations.
The FLY workshops are a great way for students to learn more about themselves
and what their own leadership skills are, says Emily Clarke, a leadership coordinator for
the CSL. It gives students an opportunity to learn on a more personal level.

Judy Craven, director of the CSL, and Ama Economy, a leadership coordinator,
will both be facilitating the workshop next Thursday. The qualified and professional staff
of the CSL presents all FLY workshops. Some specialty workshops will have guest
speakers from University College or the KSU Athletics department.

-more-

I have been to a few FLY workshops so far and I definitely would recommend
them to other students, says Kathryn Merkle, a senior at KSU. I learned so much about
myself and practical skills that I can use every single day.
All FLY workshops are free to KSU students. To attend the workshop next
Thursday, students can RSVP through Owl Life by Tuesday, Feb. 24. The link to the Owl
Life page is: https://owllife.kennesaw.edu/organization/KSUCSL .
