1. Mobile Technology/Emerging Technology in the Classroom

2. Integrating technology into the classroom is not an easy task. Setting up
various curriculum, providing professional development to teachers, and
holding students accountable for the upkeep of those devices. However,
seeing past those challenges, students are doing better in all areas of school.
Schools are quickly making the transition from paper textbooks to electronic
copies on tablets and computers. By making this quick transition, students
are showing more effective communication, thinking critically, solving
problems collaboratively, and being more aware of the digital learning device
they are using. In addition to these wins, discipline and suspensions have
significantly dropped, along with bus ride discipline issues. This drop has also
caused an increase in student engagement in the classroom which in turn
created a rise in graduation rate at a school district in Texas. The article also
mentions that schooling is meant to prepare students for the real world and
careers, so districts need to be on their toes adapting to the latest technology
that is going to benefit their students.

planning, professional development, and getting students to adapt. It also
mentions the benefits of having iPads and laptops in classrooms like the

number two. Both the journal and internet article were written by creditable
education specialist, one being a high school English teacher, the other being
a technology reporter.
