East Amwell School, Ringoes, New Jersey Fall, 2012


Taught classroom music to children grades K 5 in a supervised practicum. Lessons emphasized
Kodly and Orff strategies that developed creativity and musical literacy skills. Created listening
lessons that engaged children in active listening. Lesson content was correlated to meet the
benchmarks of the National Standards for Music Education. Differentiated instruction to meet
individual student learning styles and special education students mainstreamed into the classroom.

Voorhees High School, Glen Gardner, New Jersey Spring, 2014


Conducted and assisted with large mixed choir, freshmen womens choir, select womens chorus,
and show choir. Developed choral warm-ups that addressed choral and vocal issues in the repertoire
while encouraging good vocal technique and strong choral habits. Developed an understanding of
Student Growth Objectives with cooperating teacher. Lesson content was correlated to meet the
benchmarks of the National Standards for Music Education and the Danielson Framework for
Teaching. Accompanied sectional rehearsals on the piano. Assisted with the musical by playing in
the pit orchestra, helping with sets, printing programs, and occasionally coached students on their
roles. Became familiar with the Understanding by Design lesson model.

Westminster Conservatory Collegiate Chorale, 2010-2012


Westminster Conservatory Princeton, New Jersey
Developed core conducting skills by participating in an ensemble that met once a week. Ensemble
members included college students and faculty along with high school students part of the
Westminster Conservatory. When leading the ensemble, became responsible for voice building,
warm-ups and sectional rehearsals. Conducting experience with baton technique in a choral program
that integrated Critical Pedagogy for Music Education (CPME) in a comprehensive select mixed
choral program.

meetings. Responsible for inter-chapter communication. Created an event calendar for the entire
chapter; scheduling major chapter events was to be done via the secretary.

Resident Advisor 2012 2014


Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey
Resident Advisor of Seabrook Hall, 2nd Floor (mostly freshmen males). Organized activities for the
residents in the community. Had to be available to assist students in many different capacities. Had
to be knowledgeable of the condition of the floor/house and maintain an environment conducive to

both academic endeavors and community interaction. Required to be "on duty" on a rotating basis
with other staff in their community in the evening to maintain an appropriate atmosphere and deal
with emergencies. Assisted with the opening and closing of the residence halls. Maintained all room
inventory forms and do periodic room checks to ensure the safety of the residents. Acted as a
responsible leader and as a positive role model for all students.

Student Senator Represented a group of constituents and brought their concerns to the rest of the
Student Government.

Williamson Voices was nominated for the 56th Annual GRAMMY awards for Best Choral

Joined choirs from five countries at Carnegie Hall to form a 400-voice international festival chorus.
Premiered Mass of the Divine Shepherd by Julian Revie, part of which will also be performed during
Pope Franciss Mass in Philadelphia in 2015.
