INTRODUCTION
Revise sounds from smart board
Bring up how we did dictation last week and that we will try it
again, first today on our white boards
First markers down hands up ready sound out the words and
how many sounds there are with your fingers
Cap, dot, men, stop, drip, boat, chip, thin, shoot, nutmeg
Do actions to some sounds if needed.

EXPLICIT TEACHING
Look at the alphabet?? Where are they up to check with Ros
Handwriting lets look at the lowercase sounds c,k,e,h,r,m,d
recap how to write them.
Now lets learnt the capital letters- all capitals start at the top.
When do we use capitals start of a sentence and start of
your name? Practice the ones I am doing with air writing

EXPLORATION/PRACTICE
Show a childs book- tell them they are going to practice their
capital letters.
Go through activity in their book- hand out books
CONCLUSION
Mark work as you go, people that are finished can colour and
trace extra letters or put an activity on the smart board
Pack up 9.50
Go to the toilet and then get your fruit and ready for morning
talks
