Workshop Assignment

Working on the workshop assignment brought new experiences and
challenges. We were asked to work in groups to create a 20-minute
session on the pre-selected portion of the Epiguem course Making the
Most of Discussion. As well as, we included a lesson plan and a
paragraph about our participation. The most important part of this
assignment was to give feedback for each group as 2+2 feedback
form.
Working on this assignment was challenging at the beginning because
the group needed to collaborate instantly to get the work done. In fact,
at the beginning I felt that I was working alone and doing everything.
However, I changed the way of approaching working on this
assignment as I divided the work between all of us. After that, the
team started to work and generate more ideas although one of the
team showed the less participation. This work helped me a lot and it
was a useful experience because I was able to solve problems in one
group and look for better ways to get the assignment done.
Providing feedback for other groups was another effective experience
during this assignment. To be more precise, it is not easy to give
feedback for others because some people may not accept it, so you
need to be more careful during the process. The different groups
presented and we had to write down our feedback as the feedback
form was to write two compliments and two suggestions. I did my best
to give each group effective feedback which may help them for their
next assignments. I have learnt that I need to find the best way to
deliver and receive feedback.
All in all, this assignment raised my awareness towards working with
colleagues from other campuses and how I can find alternative ways to

handle different issues. In addition, giving feedback was a good way to

get an idea of how to give an effective feedback to my students.
