1. Begin reading the BA II Plus Practical Guide on CCLE (by Hassett & Stewart)
2. Make sure that your calculator attends all lectures (and you do, too)
3. Continue reading (and re-reading) the BA II Plus Guide as we cover new topics
4. Commit to getting the early concepts down cold (or save time and drop now)
5. Focus on the Example Problems and Solutions in the text and focus on working
the homework problems. (If you find these easy after attending the lectures,
then just skim the text and dont worry about notation not used in lectures.)
6. Join the Math 172A forum at www.Piazza.com and participate. Download the
Piazza app while youre at it place the Piazza icon next to your favorite game!!
7. Students wanting to pass Actuarial Exam FM and/or wanting a high grade in
Math 172A should also work the Prior FM Exam Problems on CCLE
