BY Nishant Mishra

MOUTH
The digestive process begins in the mouth .Food is first
softened with a watery substance called saliva .
FOOD PIPE
Food from the mouth passes through the food pipe and reaches
the stomach.
STOMACH
From the food pipe, the food comes into the stomach. A stomach
is a large, sack-like organ. Here the food is broken down further
with the help of digestive juices until it becomes like a paste.
From the stomach, the food moves into small intestine.

LIVER
The liver secretes a digestive juice which helps in the digestion of food
and absorption of nutrients. It secrets this juice into small intestine.
SMALL INTESTINE
The small intestine is a long coiled tube. Food from the stomach passes
into the small intestine. Here the food breaks down even further until
its become small enough to pass through the walls of the small
intestine into the bloodstream.
LARGE INTESTINE
Food that cannot be digested passes into the large intestine. Here the
minerals and extra water are absorbed by the blood. The waste called
is then expelled out of the body through anus.

ANUS
The semi-solid faeces are eliminated out of the body
through an opening called the anus.
