1. He gave a pen paper to write down documents for MLC to be checked by


the surveyor and left me for ten minutes after collecting my Passport and
CDC. I wrote down almost 18 points.

10.Asked me when you will change the security levels for a port? Answered

17.Asked about young people regulations. Please refer to MGN 88. I discussed
all the contents of the MGN. I forgot to mention that young people when
signed on should be entered in the Official log book, he prompted me on
this point.

18.What are the contents of official log book? --- I reached till fresh water and
accommodation and food inspection. He asked about accommodation in
detail. I answered as per MSN 1848 about accommodation, when I started
to mention the technical details, he stopped me and moved ahead with
next question.
19.What checks will you make in the fresh water? I answered referring MGN
397 + Fresh Water testing Kit in detail. He stopped me and moved to
Annex I MARPOL
20.What are the requirements of Annex I, stopped me again in few seconds
21.At 0200 hrs, 2nd mate calls you as he receives a water ingress alarm. Your
action. Answered as per MGN 335 + safety inputs
22.Gave me a scenario that chief cook was sighted last 1600 hrs but from
