IELTS has four parts
Listening (30 minutes)
Reading (60 minutes)
Writing (60 minutes)
Speaking (1114 minutes).
The total test time : 2 hours and 45 minutes
The Listening, Reading and Writing tests are done in one

sitting
The Speaking test may be on the same day or up to seven
days before or after the other tests

Listening(30 minutes)
Four sections: dialogue
The test is played once only
40 items to fill while listening
10 minutes for transferring answers to booklet
Tips: If your unfamiliar
With numbers- practice often
With accent listen to dialogues, news in BBC

Reading(60 minutes)
3 Reading sections
No time to transfer answers
Tips
Practice and be ahead of time
Read questions and read accordingly
Underline while reading

Writing (60min)
2 sections

1st section: at least 150 words

2. 1-2 minutes on a particular topic
Friendship, tourism,

individual topic
Tips : for the 2nd part: brainstorm during the 1 minute
preparation time.

Before Exam
Tips
Be relax (last minutes preparation will not help)
Do things that calm yourself: deep breathing
Get familiar with exam format
Eat well and sleep properly
Come early to the test center
