Toggle Fast-Clamping FixtureFixture

Clamping Principle
This kind of fixture is designed according to mechanic principle of bi-rocker structure in planar four-bar
mechnism,basically consisting of a connecting rod, a rack and two side links.
When two link points between the connecting rod and two side links align with the link point between rack and the
one side link, the mechanism is at dead point position. At this time, the tightly pressed workpiece is not able to
lossen the pressure head, irrespective of how powerful the reaction force is (excluding destructive reaction force),
and this is dead point clamping principle in mechanism.
To be free from the impact of change of external force leading and mechanic vibration during operation,the middle
link point is designed to slightly stray from and inside the line between other two link points, to make sure keeping
fixture structure tightened steadily under the situation of maxcimum clamping force.
Clamping Force
The clamping force refers to the maximum pressing force on workpiece exerted by pressure head ther force arm
of which is closest to mounting base, while the fixture is tightened without any mechanic distortion.
The pressure on workpiece exerted by pressure head is not constant, varying with different position of pressure
head on arm force, when the arm force is from the mounting base, the clamping force decreases.

Mechanism
This piston of the cylinder moves to-and-fro. When the pressure is applied. The com pressed air
enter from the upper hole and push the piston downwards. Force the arm to complete two working
strokes: the swing stroke and the clamping stroke. The two strokes together are called the total stroke.
During the swing stroke, the piston together with the clamping aem move downwards linearly and
swing to the pre-defined angle, so the clamping arm is aligned to the workpiece; During the clamping
stroke, the picston together with the arm continue to move downwards linearly till that the clamping arm
tight the workpiece.
When the pressure is released, the compressed air enter from the lower hole and push the piston
upwards. Force the aem to complete two strokes contrary to the two aforesaid strokes: the clamping
arem move upward lineary to release the workpiece firstly then swing to the original position
Funtctions
This kind of clamps can swing the clamping arm to align to the workpiece according to the
automatic control air circuit, then clamp it acutomaticallly. When the processing is finished, the
clamping arm can release and swing to the orginal position automatically.
This operation is very quick, the time of one working stroke is only below 0.5 second.
It is safe and reliable.
Applications
Thie pneumatic swing cylinder is applied to the mass processing and assembling, where it is
highly automatic and with confined space, and require the loading and unloading are finished
quickly.
It is also applied to all kinds of appications that require quick clamping and fixing , together with
quick unfixing and opening.
Types
By the mounting mode:
Flanged type(F); Outer threadsd type(T)
By the type of the clamping arm:
Single-armed type(S); Double armed type(D)
