Sikaflex-Construction (D)
Scope: One Component, Durable PU,
moisture curing, elastic joint Sealant,
suitable for outdoor applications.
TYPICAL FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Facades and parapets
Precast concrete panels
Window and door frame sealing
General joint sealing (concrete, mortar, clay, steel and timber)

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must be of sufficient strength, dense, clean, dry
and free of oil, fat and loose particles. Cement laitance, and
other loosely adhering particles on joint sides should be
removed. Paints and coatings covering the joint sides must be
compatible with Sikaflex-Construction D.

PRIMER
For normal exposure and on normal absorbent concrete
substrates, a primer is not required. If the sealant is immersed
or high stresses are to be taken and for absorbent substrates,
the use of Sika Primer 3 is required.
Wait for minimum hour and maximum 5 hours before
applying Sikaflex-Construction D.

Apply with a caulking gun. Smoothen with a spatula and by

using water (1-2 drops of soap).

CONSUMPTION OF PRIMER
Approx. 50 m per 250 ml

CLEANING
Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with Colma Cleaner.
Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
