Batch-Export MrSID to GeoTIFF

1. Open Session > Preference Editor

Define the Default Data Directory

Define the Default Output Directory

Select User Save

2. Open the Import/Export dialog

Select Export

Set Type to GeoTIFF

Set Media to File

Select Input File

Set Files of Type to *.sid

Select one MrSID file in the directory
2.7.
Select OK

Select Tiled Image


Set tile width and height to 64
Set Export band selection to RGB
Set Red to 1, Green to 2, and Blue to 3
Set Compression to Packbits
Do not select Export Options and Data
Stretch. The defaults are fine, and opening
these will change the defaults. If you do by
accident, close the Export TIFF Data tool and
go back to 2.6 above.
Select Batch (opens another tool)

3. Batch Commands dialgog opens after 2.7.7

Select Modify commands automatically radio button, then Next
3.1.1. Notice the script changed the Input and Output file names to variables
3.1.1.1. '$(Input)' -outputfilename '$(Output)'
3.1.2. Look at the Variables tab (just to verify the output is going to the right place, etc.)
3.1.3. Select Next
3.1.4. Use the Select Files to Add
icon to add multiple files
3.1.5. Select Next
3.1.6. Define when to start the
process using Start
Processing Now or Start
Processing Later at (later
processing requires admin
privileges, due to the use of
the Windows Scheduler)
