About us
The Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) is the largest professional body for
scientists in pathology and laboratory medicine the United Kingdom.
We represent over 20,000 members in more than 30 countries, providing a powerful
voice for biomedical science and its practitioners.
Our mission
We will support our members in their practice of biomedical science through trai
ning, education, assessments, examinations and continuous professional developme
nt.
We will set quality standards for the profession and promote the role of biomedi
cal science in society to government, professionals and the public.
