Final Project: A Thousand Splendid Suns

novel.
Determine the effects of the level of political upheaval related to the struggle
of people in Afghanistan.
Predict characters futures based on whether or not they stay in Afghanistan
or move to the US.
Describe differences in cultures and social standings in relation to factors of
abuse.

Create a fake Facebook account for one of the characters from A Thousand Splendid
Suns. Be as creative as you can, but also as factual based on the information from
the novel. Remember, the point of the Fakebook account is to show how the
character has changed, what they have experienced or learned, and what they hope
to achieve in their future. You will complete the about information, friends list,
and create 15 posts for your character.
A few items to note:
o

The friends list may not necessarily be friends of the character. Not all
characters had 6 friends, so you may include enemies/family/etc as long as
they are clearly labeled.
You must create 15 personal entry posts based on your characters life.
Entries must show emotion, be based on facts from the novel, and show
progression of the character. Think of these as short journal entries for your
character.
You will be assessed on creativity and imagination as well. There are plenty
of points of opportunity in which to display creativity via character emotions,
character photos, etc.
Yes, you are given the chance to improve your project! Please use the
feedback notes wisely when making revisions to your project.
