Goal Setting and Planning

In todays generation, family was not given high importance. Family is
always least valued. And to solve this serious problem, Guidance Counselor
must conduct a program that will unite the family.

Implementing Part

Coordinating. Guidance Counselors must communicate with the teachers, most

especially with the class adviser of every section. S/he must discuss the aim of
this program, which is to unite the family. After the Guidance Counselors
communicate with the advisers, the latter will call for a meeting with the
parents to disseminate the information to them.
Directing/Managing. With this Guidance Program FAMILY DAY, the
Guidance Counselor as the main organizer of this event, will give insights of
how important family is. They can show a short video about a happy family, or
maybe a video of unhealthy family or broken one, which will later on be a
source of learning for parents that they must not imitate it. They can also
facilitate games that will surely unite families.
Developing. To improve this program, Guidance Counselor must think of other
ways on how family can be more united. Like say for example, they will
conduct a seminar to the parents, and ask them to have a family dinner every
night. And also, more frequent conversation with the members of the family
will make them more connected with each other.

Appraisal

Evaluation. Know if this program was effective. Are there any changes with the
relationship of the family, do they became closed to each other or more aloof to
them?

Future Design. If the program was proven to be effective, continue this until
forever.
