Doorway to hall
The
purpose
of
the
K-4
Community
Meeting
is
to
build
a
learning
community
that
has
consistent
goals
and
expectations
for
students
in
all
classes
and
all
grades.
It
is
also
a
time
for
students,
teachers,
parents
and
staff
to
come
together
to
recognize
one
another,
hear
important
messages,
and
celebrate
various
things
together
as
an
elementary
school
community.
Parents
will
be
sent
an
e-mail
if
their
child
will
be
receiving
an
award.
All
parents
are
welcome
to
attend,
even
if
their
child
is
not
receiving
an
awardJ
1) Classes
will
come
down
to
the
caf
and
sit
in
their
assigned
seating
areas.
2) Students
will
be
welcomed
and
a
review
of
assembly
behavior
will
be
done
(if
needed).
3) Student
recognition
will
be
done.
Teachers
will
be
presenting
their
awards
to
their
students
J
4) Teacher
shout
outs.
5) If
needed,
a
review
of
expectations/PBIS
lessons
will
be
done.
6) Student
birthdays
will
be
celebrated.
Students
will
be
called
up
to
(adults
who
have
birthdays
will
also
be
encouraged
to
come
up)
to
collect
a
birthday
pencil
and
the
students
and
staff
will
sing
Happy
Birthday
to
them.
All
students
should
remain
up
front
standing
in
a
line
until
the
birthday
song
is
over.
7) Special
activity/presentation
(when
appropriate).
8) Students
will
be
asked
to
look
to
their
teacher
for
direction.
