Hello Friends,

I would like to discuss about the concept of Middleware. In large companies it is

very essential to use multiple tools for each and every department to run the business
effectively, in this scenario there would be great need for Middleware which interconnects the
different tools from various departments. According to M. Rouse in the computer industry,
middleware is a general term for any programming that serves to glue together or mediate
between two separate and often already existing programs ( personal communication,
October 26, 2014).
Middleware concepts are very important in the present 21st century because for
example a single organization might choose its CRM components from Siebel, SCM
components from i2, financial components and HR management companies from Oracle. To
manage all these tools efficiently integrating tools are necessary, an integrated enterprise
infuses support areas, such as finance and human resources, with a strong customer
orientation. These Integrations are achieved by the Middleware; it translates the information
between disparate systems ( M. Rouse, personal communication, October 26, 2014).
