PETITION

In February 2008, Mr. John Otoo promised to sell to me a piece of land at Nmai Djorn in East Legon, a
residential suburb of Accra at an agreed price of Twelve Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢12,000) of which I
paid cash to him. Ever since I paid the money in 20th April 2008. Mr. Otoo has not been able to give me any
site plan or document to consummate the sale transaction. So after a while I demanded my money back
upon realizing that Mr. Otoo could not give me the land. He keeps giving excuses and would sometimes not
even pick –up the phone when I call. He would sometimes travel outside the country without informing me
thus leaving me in suspense.

I am by this petition appealing to the Ghana Police Service to assist me in retrieving my money.

PETITION

In the year 2004, I bought 4 plots of land amounting to ten thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000) from the
purported land owner, Mr. Evans Anteh. Barely a year after, I transferred the four (4) plots to another
person. When the person who bought the land from me went onto the land to develop, a group of people
appeared claiming ownership and were able to produce a land title certificate to substantiate their claim. So I
went back to Mr. Evans Anteh who admitted the claim by the new owner. He therefore promised to replace
the land with new plots or refund my money with interest and made an undertaking to that effect (copy of
which is hereby attached). After about 9 months now Mr. Anteh has not been able to replace the land or
refund my money and does not show any efforts to do anything about my situation.

I am by this petition appealing to the Ghana Police Service to assist me in retrieving the land or money.
