I started my own business to pursue my interest in working in the
field of computer graphic art design. The work I did for my primary
client involved creating product flyers, designing cutting tools,
developing speed and feed product application charts, and providing
data for catalog creation.

Project Engineer:
Created plant layouts for machines, ductwork, intake and exhaust
systems and the associated parts required.
Participated in 5S projects, as well as TPM projects and lean
management.
Developed Database of all shop machinery by taking inventory and
recording of all equipment specifications.
Designed modifications of machinery via Unigraphics for sub
contracting fabrication.
Was responsible for generating necessary paperwork for disposal of
capital equipment.
Was responsible for creating documents required for the acquisition of
new equipment.
Application Specialist:
Created manufacturing prints as well as concept prints for sales and
manufacturing.
Assisted customers in application of product.
Created routings and BOMs and entered data into the SAP system.
Participated in several committees within the corporation for
standardization of design standards and terminology.

Engineering Manager/Quality Control Manager:


Responsible for tool design, ISO Responsibilities, Quality Control
Responsibilities, Application Engineering Support. Worked with
customers in the development of new cutting tool designs.
Developed time standards and new work centers to assist in the
conversion from one database system to another. Developed Macros
which enabled the uploading of routings and bills of material to new
system.

Product Manager - Circuit Board Drills:


Responsible for coordinating development of standardized product line
based on consolidation of three different designs. Created program
which automated the generation of manufacturing prints linking Quattro
Pro Spreadsheet with CAD system enabling updating prints via Macros
which enabled regeneration of prints with new data automatically.
This process was then used by other divisions of RTW.
Developed Access Database for creating customized price lists for
customers based on discounts based on product type and enabled
exceptions for specific items.
Created product brochures utilizing drawing capabilities in Corel Draw
and PageMaker software. Worked with printing houses for the printing
of documents.
1990-1992 Product Manager-Rotary Cutting Tools:
Responsible for maintenance of product line database used in the
development of catalogs and price lists. Provide technical assistance
to customers and sales force in product application. Worked with
advertizing agency in the development and design of displays utilized
in the IMTS show in Chicago.

Responsible for providing technical assistance to sales force,
customer service and customers in understanding and application of
product. Assisted advertising department in completion of three
catalogs by supplying technical copy and data.

METAL REMOVAL TOOLING DIVISION

Product Design Manager:


Responsible for the tool design and estimating functions. Developed
and implemented computer system for cost estimating and creation of
product process sheets for use in manufacturing.
Designed and developed specially built tool analyzers for use in the
inspection of circuit board drills. Developed inspection manual for
analyzer and trained personnel in its use. Received a patent for
design of micro circuit board drills. Developed new product line of
Hi Shear End Mills. Assisted customers in the application of product
line.

1978-1985 Tool Design Supervisor:


Responsible for the product design department which prepared
manufacturing blueprints and customer sales prints. Supervised the
metallurgical laboratory in the inspection of incoming raw material.
1977-1978 Quality Control Supervisor:
Responsible for seven inspectors in the final inspection of the
product. Worked with Data Processing department in developing and
implementing a scrap reporting system. Responsible for maintaining
and purchasing inspection equipment and supplies. Responsible for the
metallurgical laboratory.
1976-1977 Tool Designer:
Designed tooling for special customer requirements. Assisted in
maintaining standard product line blueprints. Worked with consulting
service in the design of cams for bur flute grinding machines.
Conducted extensive testing program on application of fiber glass
routers in the electronics field and developed new designs based on
test results. Supervised metallurgical laboratory.
1974-1976 Supervisor - Metallurgical Laboratory:
Responsible for metallurgical inspection of all incoming tungsten
carbide material. Evaluated new sources of material for possible use
in product. Maintained records of all material tested. Responsible
for maintenance of metallurgical inspection equipment and purchasing
of supplies.

Attended Mid Management training at Federal Mogul ( previous owner of
Metal Removal)
Attended seminars and classes in Unigraphics NX.
Primary Skills
The use of AutoCAD 2009
Trained in the use of Unigraphics NX in the development of machine
design and modeling and the creation of associated blueprints.
Trained and used SAP system for Material Management, BOMs and
routings.
Well versed in all Microsoft applications including:
Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Word, Access Databases, PowerPoint
presentations. Also, I have worked with Adobe PageMaker in the
creation of catalogs, bulletins, and advertising. I have used Corel
Draw to create images used in the above publications.
Trained and Certified as an ISO lead auditor at Kennametal and Quality
Carbide Tooling.
