This form enables the preservice teacher to summarise feedback from their mentor teacher. The
preservice teacher is then required to arrange a meeting time to share this summary with the mentor
and confirm its accuracy and implications for the remainder of their professional experience. This
document is not to be used for assessment purposes. Refer to Page 11 of The Essentials for more
information. The Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) National Graduate
Teacher Standards may assist in framing this communication. A copy is posted on the PP website at

Strengths
My mentor has highlighted the following strengths in my practice and understanding:
Kacey is enthusiastic, engaged and knowledgable towards her teaching. She is able to
structure the class so that each student is able to participate. Kacey has taken the time to
understand the levels and abilities of the students and adapts her program concomitantly to

their AusVel Level. Her dedication to her work is evident as Kacey is willing to do whatever is
required and above to facilitate the progress of her teaching practice.

Areas for further development:


My mentor suggests that I should work further on the following areas:
Kacey should try implementing written Learning Intentions and Success Criteria's in her
lesson plans. Another area of development for Kacey is to continue to have teaching
experience with complex needs students. Kacey will further develop her practice during the
swimming program which will require to organise and execute an aquatics unit for over 150
students.

experiences during the remainder of my placement:
Creating a portfolio with lesson plans, photos, and evidence of work
Adapting literacy, numeracy and communication lessons for complex needs students
