Lesson Pre-requisites
Students need to have a sound understanding of cyber safety while using the internet. The pre-requisites for this lesson is that
students need to gain an understanding of Internet protocols and strategies for exchanging information, which enables them to
share and challenge their own and other peoples ideas and solutions with a global audience. ICT supports knowledge-building
among teams and enables team members to collaborate, enquire, interact and integrate prior knowledge with new
understanding. Protocols for receiving, transferring and publishing ideas and information are needed to promote communication
Differentiation
To simplify: Students will be given a Cyber Smart topic of their choice and they will be asked to create a poster presentation
rather than the PowerPoint presentation.
To challenge: Students will be asked to amend the Cyber Safety survey with 5 more questions to filter out more options to
identify if they have been bullied on the internet.
Evaluate
A summative assessment is included in this lesson where students are asked to 'think-pair-share' on the topic that best appealed

their chosen topic and submitted for assessment by the sessional teacher. The rubrics to be followed to assess the PowerPoint
