Course Outcome of Engineering Drawing

Course Code- BTME-102

Student should know after Course study:
1. Understand the basic of Engineering drawing and tool used, Conventions of line,BIS codes,
dimensioning, Scale, Point, Lines, Planes, Solid, Projections.
2. Projection of Points in quadrant and on auxiliary plane. Projection of Lines in different planes.
Lines True length and angle orientation of straight line: rotation method and auxiliary plane
method and Traces of line.
3. Identify difference between Plane and Lamina. Projection of Lamina at different angles. Draw
projection of solids in first or third quadrant. Use rotation and auxiliary plane method to draw
the projections.
4. Visualise Section of Solids with different practical examples Student should know the
procedure of sectioning. Basic of intersection of surfaces and drawing of intersection of
surfaces with different Solids.
5. Judge the purpose of Development of surfaces of solids
6. Classify the difference between Isometric and Orthographic Projection. Basic Principle of
Isometric projection. Difference between isometric projection and isometric drawing Student
should draw different Isometric projection of solids
7. Elaborate the basic of Orthographic Projection, Sketch/drawing of blocks, and of simple
machine parts.
