Animate and add sound to the

Using your illustration from project 1, create a 5-second animation that brings your
song or poetic verse to life. Use the style of your illustration to inform the style of
your animation (e.g., will it be dreamlike and include subtle transitions of color or
will it be energetic and purposely jerky?) Further support this concept by including
audio of your song and/or narrated text. Add context to your piece by relating it to
an event or important notice regarding your artist or author (i.e., Beck CD release
party, April 12, First Avenue, 7-9pm)

Digital roughs
Create a Flash file the same size as your storyboard template, and animate your il-
lustration using tweens and movie clips. Experiment with backgrounds, transitions,
and sound controls to strengthen your concept and the presentation. Make changes
to your illustrated components as necessary.

Final
Your final animation should be exported as a .swf and embedded in an .html file for
in-class presentation. The final .swf will also be included in your personal portfolio
website (project 5).
