Once the instant activity is over
I will tell the students to go get
water if they need to. Once they
are done they need to sit down
on the ground in front of me and
be ready for instructions.
Set Induction:
Today were going to be
developing our catching skills
while doing different movements
around the general area.
Purpose:
Catching is an important skill to
have because it is used in so
many sports.
Lesson Core - Task 1:
Students will be standing in
their own hula hoops with their
own ball. Students will be
throwing the ball up to
themselves and catching it and
when I blow the whistle they
have to do the action that I yell
out. When they do the action
they will be doing it outside of
their hula hoop. When I blow
the whistle they then need to
return to their hula hoop and
start throwing the ball to
themselves again. The actions

of movement concepts,
principles and strategies
that apply to the learning
and performance of
physical activities.
The students will need to
show their knowledge on the
strategy of catching and how
the body has to move to catch
the ball. Catching is very
important in the performance
of many physical activities.

ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUES: I will assess the students by walking around and observing each student for a
short time, and seeing how many times they can throw the ball up and catch it while standing in their hula
hoop.
