LOG IN
The Login page appears when a recurring
player enters the Lending Hearts Universe.

SIGN UP

The player is asked to enter their username

and password.
If the email and password combination is
correct, the player will proceed to the rest of
the experience.

If the password is incorrect, the player taps on

Forgot Password. They will receive a new
randomized password on the registered email.

The player is asked to enter their email ID, username and

password.
If the email ID entered is on the admins email whitelist, the player
will proceed to the experience.
The login page also includes a link to Lending Hearts privacy
policy, hosted on the website.

TUTORIAL
The player sees a tutorial that explains the overall user
flow of the experience. The tutorial is shown to the player
the first time they log in, but it is accessible in the help
(found in the infobox) in the Solar System scene.

* The tutorial highlights the 4 salient features of the game. It is colorful and graphical, with
minimal text, in order to appeal to our target demographic. In the future, more segments
can easily be added to the tutorial as the game expands.

SOLAR SYSTEM
After seeing the general tutorial, the
player sees the Lending Hearts Solar
System that all players are part of.

Home Star

The player can see his/her own

avatar, as well as all other
members of the Lending Hearts
community, orbiting the Lending
Hearts Star.
The players avatar is
indicated with an arrow,
and
the
default
selection is on the
players planet.
Tapping any object
once selects it with the
target, and tapping it
again or tapping the
icon on the left will take
the player into that
scene.

Navigation

Players can navigate from the

Solar System scene to play
games by clicking on the Play!
button.

The Lending Hearts Star is

the social hub for everyone. It
constantly glows and fades to
indicate that is clickable.

There is a description box that

has a quick overview/description
of the selected object.

GENERAL NAVIGATION
Two UI elements that are always visible are the back button and the info box.

The player can go back to the previous screen by hitting the universal back button. The back button always takes the
player back by one screen, with the exception of the constellation mini game (the back button takes the player not to
the play scene but the Solar System scene). This is in order to make the navigation simple for the player as well as the
designer.

The player can access the info box to

find out how many coins they have, and

access the relevant tutorials.

The info box can be easily expandable to include a lot more information, like statistics or currencies for other games. It
has been designed to be a space for any quick info that players might require in the future.

Customizing the Avatar

The player selects decoration items from his/her inventory
to customize the avatar, which is a planet.

CUSTOMIZATION
The player can save the look by clicking the
save button. However if they do not save
before they exit (by going back to the solar
system scene) then the system prompts
them to save before exiting.

A new player gets a package of 1 default

terrain and 5 random items for the very first
time from the gift box.
If tapped on again, the gift box gives a
message that it is empty, and has a link to
the Wishing Volcano (where contributions
can be made to unlock more items).

These functions (send to back, bring to

front, flip horizontally, flip vertically and
delete) only appear when an item is
selected.
An item on the planet can be dragged into the
inventory to delete it, or click on the delete
button while the item is selected.

The player selects a friend from solar system scene to visit. The player can view
the information of the planet and send a gift to him/her.

VISIT SCENE
The visit scene shows the friends planet but it is not
editable by others.
We have designed the visit page to make a hub for players
to showcase their creativity and foster communication and
companionship between the players.
In the future, there is possibility for players to display the
content they have created in the app and show their
appreciation for the their friends creativity.

To ensure the feeling of companionship

we
have
implemented a gifting system.
The player can send a gift to his/her
friend on the visit page, and the friend
gets a randomized item in his/her gift
box on his/her own customization page.

Once the game starts, the stars will begin to pop up

at random.
The player must tap each star before it disappears
to catch it. The number of stars they catch is shown
on the top, next to an icon of the same star.
There is no time limitation, but stars will pop up
more frequently as the game continues. The game
ends when player misses 3 stars.
In each level, stars appear at intervals of a certain
time. After Level 3, black holes start appearing - and
if the player touches one, they lose 5 stars.
Between each level, there will be a short pause for
players to take a break. During the pause, players
will see the pop up Level __ (i.e. next level) and
lasts 1.5s. Then it will disappear and automatically
go to the next level.
After the player has missed 3 times, the game ends.
The pop up window will show the coins and stars
that the player earned and offer the options: Try
Agian and Draw (use the stars to draw
constellation)

CONSTELLATION Game
Part 2 Drawing
The amount of the stars that the
player can use to draw depends on
the result of previous tap-tap game.
Swipe to erase a line, any star
without connections to another
star will disappear.
Once the player taps the empty
space, a star will appear.
Player can drag a line from an existing
star and when their finger leaves the
screen another star will appear at the
end of the line.

(i) Draw mode

Player can name the constellation and

save it using the done button, it will
automatically be shown in the gallery on
Lending Hearts Star.
After naming and saving, the player is
shown an option to go to the gallery to
view their constellation.

LENDING HEARTS STAR

The Lending Hearts Star is the community hub that contains all features that pertain to the Lending Hearts
community. Each feature is in the center, with other features visible on the side. The player swipes to navigate
between the different features. The hemispherical view makes it easier for future developers to add more features
- the swiping is infinite and new features can be added seamlessly.

In the solar system, the Lending Hearts

Star is a full sphere. But when a player
taps on the Lending Hearts star, they
see it just as a hemisphere, with
different features on the surface.

The swiping is indicated by two arrows

in order to remove any ambiguity.
Clicking on the arrow and the swiping
action are both interpreted as swiping
in order to ensure players with
smaller screens are able to swipe
easily.

WISHING VOLCANO
The element that ties together the
whole loop is the Wishing Volcano.
Players contribute to the common goal
of the whole Lending Hearts Universe
and everyone in the community reaps
these rewards.

When the community goal is reached

and the Wishing Volcano progress bar
is filled, presents are unlocked for all
the players!
Players contribute the coins they earn
in the mini game to the Wishing
Volcano.
Clicking on the trophy icon shows the
leaderboard, which is the rankings of
contributions to the Lending Hearts
Star.

NEWSBOARD
The newsboard is an administrator-controlled
feature that informs the players about various
events in the Lending Hearts community.
Administrators can upload a new post
using a custom PHP tool that has been
designed by our team.
The news posts are in the form of text posts,
with images.
In the newsboard, only the latest post is visible.
A new post replaces the older one, and no
backup or archive is stored.
This is in order to ensure that players who see
the newsboard are always up-to-date with the
newest activities of the Lending Hearts
community, and are not confused by any old
post that they might see.

GALLERY
The gallery is where the artwork
of all players can be seen. All
drawings that players make can
be viewed by the community,
newest first.

The players drawing can

be seen, and under it is the
name of the drawing and
the creators name. This
strengthens creativity in
the community.
As this is a viewing
center, the constellations
cannot be edited. This is
in order to ensure the
integrity of each drawing
that a player makes.

Players can also search

within the gallery, by the
player or by drawing
name.
The player enters the text
in the search box and
clicks on the search
button. This will show all
the search results.
To exit the search results
and return to the original
gallery, the player clicks
on the close button.
