Found herself pregnant from the Holy Spirit
She gave birth and wrapped him in clothes and placed him in a
manger
No room in the inn
Mary treasured these things in her heart
They took Jesus for purification to Jerusalem
Was amazed by the prophecy from Simeon
Was told a sword would pierce her soul because of Jesus
Complied completely with the law.
she was not afraid of the angel but she was surprised and bothered
by his words that she is favored.
She does not ask for confirmation like show me a sign.

Joseph

Pledged to Mary
Righteous ma, was chaste. He did not know about Marys pregnancy ahead of time, he discovered it
when everyone else did, when it was seen which is normally between 4-5 months for a first child.
Wanted to divorce her quietly, Joseph couldnt marry Mary once he discovered she was pregnant.
He was righteous and he couldnt marry someone who was tainted by sin because to do so would
announce to everyone that he had sinned with her and if he did that then he wouldnt keep his
righteous standing.
Had a dream, The angel convinced him not to divorce her though and we often focus on what a
huge sacrifice Mary made but Josephs sacrifice was just as great. In the eyes of the world, he lost
every bit of righteousness and credibility as a Jew.
Obeyed his dream and married Mary, Legally he could divorce her quietly meaning he could divorce
her before two witnesses which would let him be compassionate to Mary but also help him keep his
righteous standing.
Stayed pure until Jesus was born
Traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census
Took Jesus to the temple to be circumcised on the 8th day
Took Jesus to offer a sacrifice in Jerusalem for purification
Was amazed by the prophecy
Angel warned him in a dream to go to Egypt
Fled during the night and stayed until Herod died

Zecharias and Elizabeth

Angels
- A messenger from God to share Words from
Him. It is clear through the repetitive times
that the angel comes that God is clearly
watching over the beginnings of Jesus life to
make sure that he survives.

like the room in the bottom of the
house or connected to the side
where the animals were kept.
Probably lots of stone and mud.

Conclusion: Jesus as a child must have been different than his peers. He was
obedient to his parents but put God above them. He probably was educated but
didnt perform miracles, he was tempted but was sinless and he never put himself
first.
