LCC
Jennifer Crist has been a part of Lancaster Community Church for over
four years. Jen is a devoted wife to Scott and an amazing mother to 6
beautiful children ranging in age from 14 years down to their newborn,
Ava, who arrived just this month! Jen is known for her gentle spirit and
desire to reach out to anyone in need of a caring word or gesture. It
JEN CRIST would be difficult to find someone in the congregation who’s not been
impacted by Jen’s genuine compassion. From making meals to clean-
ing homes she gives of her time unselfishly. She has been a volunteer
in almost every area of the church and continues to serve as a full-time
team member of First Place Club, a Scripture memorization ministry for
Kindergarten through 3rd graders. You could listen in on any Wednesday evening and hear children
cheering with enthusiasm as Jen is announced as their team Captain – they know Jen will give her all
to make sure they get team points and recognition. Jen’s love for the Lord extends far beyond the
walls of LCC. Their home is often filled with neighborhood kids who have little to no family support;
they find that and more at the Crist home. Jen makes sure that any kid in her neighborhood has a
way to church if they want it. Her compassionate heart knows no boundaries. We have all known
people in our lives that make us feel good and welcome in any situation. Jen Crist is truly one of
those people!
Jen took some time to answer some questions for Connected.

What are the ministries that you are currently involved in at LCC?
Conversations, FPC, Small Group Leaders

What is your favorite part about serving at LCC?

The atmosphere of “teamwork”...I have yet to work on a team where some one person or group is out
to take the credit or “glory” for running that particular ministry or group...we are all just working togeth-
er to further the kingdom

If you could share anything with someone contemplating getting involved at LCC, what would you
say?
I guess I would just tell them our experience...that we’ve truly become part of a family here. That we
are all working together to further God’s kingdom...not our own...how much easier our walk has be-
come through small groups and different team ministries...how much support we’ve received...and
how much we’ve been stretched which is a good thing if you want to mature in Christ.
