Good post. Reasoning and writing are good but examples but may not reflect original
thought
-Writing contains some grammatical errors.
-Quote and link, image, video, etc., are well-chosen
-Post makes connections to other elements, themes, ideas in works studied within and outside
of the novel, and within and outside of AP English.
-Post shows consideration to other student posts
-Post shows depth of thought and is organized in its reasoning

Fair post. Failure to choose and explain good examples begins to undermine posts effectiveness
to our study. Grammatical errors are problematic and interfere with clarity.
- Reasoning and writing may not reflect original thought

-Post makes only superficial connections to other elements, themes, ideas in works studied
within and outside of the novel, and within and outside of AP English.
-Post shows little or no consideration to other student posts
-Post shows a lack of depth of thought or a lack of organization.

74 and under

Poor post. Poor examples, explanation, and poor grammar make for a muddled post
-Missing one of the required elements: Quote, link, and commentary
-Post makes only superficial connections to other elements, themes, ideas in works
studied within and outside of the novel, and within and outside of AP English.
-Post shows little or no consideration to other student posts
-Post shows a lack of depth, lack of original thought, or a lack of organization.

Breakdown:
20 points for the quotation
20 points for the link, image, video, etc.
60 points for the commentary.
Each post will count as 25% of an essay grade.
