The effects on Social Media for the minds of society
In the many years of social media, it has created one of the most unique and the most efficient
way to communicate with one another, however it has created an image that is really misleading
to some people. Most of the whole world has or has experienced in the modern culture that is the
use of social media and what the thing its effecting the most is our communication, In addition
social media has a fascinating potential epidemiological role (Isaacs, David page 1). Whenever
people think of social media the three big platforms that come to mind are Twitter, Facebook and
Instagram. Other uses of social media include things like Snapchat, Pintrest, Vine or Tumblr but
they arent the biggest when it comes to those three.
With the invention of social media technology has started or has slowly been getting the worst
reputation it could ever face in history. Ever since Alexander Graham Bell invented the first
practical telephone, people have questioned the effects of innovations on communication and
socialization (Isaacs, David page 1). Technology is changing at every second of the day whether
its a new product or just another update on your certain product. Thats what brings up the
controversial issue regarding both social media and technology because they both intertwine with
one another. The one thing social media has started is in fact how people use it or to put it in
another way how one abuses it? The use of Facebook or Twitter and more recently of mobile

phone apps to send messages to multiple people simultaneously has remarkable powers of
amplification (Isaacs, David page 1).
When you sit down and really think about it social media can be a great way for the use of
promotion or for example a great way for activists to coincide. Social media activism has
become very relevant for many student activist groups (Francis, Taylor page 1). Any type of
platform is perfect for this kind of activity and in some way its a great way of bonding with
every different individual. The creation of social media has stimulated a good amount of positive
traits to it which includes staying updated with the news, contacting friends or family or even to
promote certain clubs and activities of sorts. The concept of Social Media Political Efficacy was
proposed to resolve inconsistences in prior theories of social media activism (Francis, Taylor
page 1).
Social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, are applications that use information and
communication technologies to enable users content generation, expression, and social
interaction (Francis, Taylor page 1). Like previously mentioned social media is used for
different interpretations, but it is also used for something not a lot of people talk about and it is
called political participation.
Social media is believe it or not a really unique source for educational purposes for elementary
school, middle school, high school and most importantly for college students from universities
all over the country. It has opened up to such a new a different horizon that in all honesty its
made learning more engaging and quite frankly a lot more easier to maintain with the
teacher/professor even countries outside the United States. The extensive use of social media by
young people in many countries has raised concerns among adults, who are apprehensive about
their effect on reading habits as well as literacy and communication skills (Dike, Virginia, page

1). With a huge spread of social media in particularly this generation many people are concerning
how it could it be when the next generation makes its mark. Older generations will grumble that
children spend their time looking at their mobile phones instead of talking to people face to face
(Isaacs, David page 1).
One thing that hasnt been mentioned yet is that the use of social is really misleading to the
young minds especially because for a good portion people are always posting things that are
more than likely pushing the boundaries of something. Social media may require more formal
modes of expression, including proper spelling and grammar and clear communication of goals,
than are typically found in casual social media interactions with friends (Francis, Taylor page
13). Now if youre trying to be precise when posting something on a social media platform the
being grammatically correct will give people the impression that he/she has a very bold and
intellectual thought process.
Social media that is the variety of web-based tools which enable people to connect collaborate,
and create web content and experiences, have become a prominent feature of modern life (Dike,
Virginia, page 2). Countries all over the world are gradually learning the obstacles of social
media making it more useful to use for all the people in said country. Social media has become
a prominent feature for the modern life. In developed countries, the use of social media is
speedily gaining entrance into the world of youth and school children (Dike, Virginia, page 4).
Another version of social media or way to promote it is the website called YouTube, which
ultimately is one of the biggest things to ever hit the internet. Millions of viewers will watch an
amusing short video on YouTube, and health workers have tried using YouTube to promote
health messages (Isaacs, David page 1). For example, a movie reviewer who posts his videos on

YouTube generally will promote themselves on various amounts of social media platforms to
promote themselves so that their voice can be heard.
Social media in general is used for a whole bunch of different obstacles. All of which should be
positive while a lot of the times it has seen to be negative for the most part. Any more of
platform is a way of expressing your thoughts and opinions out to the public. Technology is a
huge part of the social media realm because a lot of it is coming from peoples smartphones.
Maybe the smartest thing is not to own a smart phone (Isaacs, David page 1).
