So, there are 3 ways to say you in German.

du This is used when you are referring to one person a person the
same age, or someone you know.
ihr This is used when you are referring to more than one person, and it
is the informal form.
Sie This is used to mean you for both singular and plural when you are
talking to someone older than you, like an adult or teacher.
