Computer Aided Design

computer aided design is the use of computer systems to aid in the creation, modification, analysis,
or optimization of a design.these softwares were created to help the designer become more
creative in what he is working on and also you can refine your idea and improve the quality to a
much higher standard thanks to these softwares.

complex work.

2. Mesh Lab

Mesh Lab is an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of
unstructured 3D triangular meshes.the programme is designed mostly for 3D modelling, but that
doesnt keep you from rendering interior spaces.

With this software it is very easy to input\output

in many formats .also its very good to have if you
need to do some high quality printing. The
drawback of this programme is that its a bit
complex for beginners to start off on .
The images below are some ideas of what you
can do with this programme.

3. Open CASCADE

This software is different to the others as it is a software development kit. This programme is a
powerful CAD kernel and development platform for 3Dmodelling and rendering.
This software is abit more complex
than others and is mostly used for
designing mechanical parts.
This software isnt user friendly and is
quite complex to get used to

see what you can create with this
software.

4. AUTOCAD

AUTODESK AUTOCAD is a commercial software application for 2D and 3D C.A.D.and drafting.

5. ADOBE Photoshop

ADOBE Photoshop is one of the most

popular programmes that exists it is one of the
most common programmes around.
It is very easy to use and also it is a very
user friendly programme. It works with pixels
so working in large scale could be abit
problematic but other than that I think it is the
best photo editor around.

6.ADOBE Illustrator

Adobe illustrator is coming from the same

family as ADOBE photoshop .they both go
hand in hand but they have there
differences. Unlike photoshop illustrator
works with vectors not pixels,therefore
proving to be easier when working in large

The programme is pretty simple a user
friendly and you can make a lot of
different illustrations.

The images above show some of the

manipulations you can do by using
illustrator .

7. pixia

Pixia is a pixel based programme. It was created and developed by the author Isoa Maruoka and has
been improved its fans. This is what makes the software so unique . Also the fact that it has unique
tools makes it something special.

Its a very cool and interesting programme. It is

also very user-friendly and highly customisable.
The only draw back is that you cant expand as
much as you can on photoshop.

8. Picasa

Picasa is a free digital photo organizer and editor which has

improved vastly since its first release.
This editor is a very simple and basic editor. The thing I most
liked about this programme was the fact that with its
simplicity you are still able to edit images to a good standard.

In the images below you can see a very vague

glimpse of what Picasa has to offer.
