Definition and citation: Deforestation is to divest or clear of
forest or trees (Dictionary.com)
Causes- human activity: People usually clear cut trees or burn
trees for deforestation. Clear cutting is when large swath of land
are cut down all at once. Burning can be done very quick. In vast
swaths of land or more slowly with slash-and-burn-technique

Borneo is now facing a very big problem. Lots of people cut trees
illegally. Satellite studies show that 56% of protected lowland
tropical forests in Kalimantan were cut down between 1985 and
2001 to supply global timber demand thats more than 29,000

km (almost the size of Belgium). Weve lost a lot of trees.

from the sun. On a rainy day, we wear umbrellas and raincoats to not get wet.

This is a jack fruit tree. The fruit of

the tree is really big. The tree also needs human to help them grow. We
planted the tree and water the tree and take care of it everyday. We need the
fruit fro us to eat. We also depend on the tree for fruit and food to eat. They
also give us oxygen for us to breathe and they need carbon dioxide from us
to give out oxygen. We depend on them for air and food and they depend on
us for air and care too.

canteen. We get our food from the environment, from the plants and from
animals. We get vegetables from the plant to stay healthy. We get other
foods other than vegetables from animals like chickens, cows, goats, etc. We
depend on them for food and our needs to stay alive and healthy. Some
animals also need us to give them food and take care of them. We give cows
grass for them to eat. And some plants also need us to take care of the, and
water them. We also plant them so that they can grow. We depend on the
plants and animals for food and they depend on us to take care of them.

time ago, this world used to be full or rainforests and trees everywhere.
However, everything change now. People cut trees and they built houses,
buildings, school, fields, pools, etc. to provide shelter for us. We change the
world that used to be full of rainforests to a world that you can almost see
buildings everywhere. People cut trees legally when they want to provide
place for us to build shelter and needs.

use part of the land from the environment to provide place for the fish to
live. We made the pond for the fish to live and to have a little decoration to
the place. We depend on the environment for the place we live and we
modify the world that used to be rainforests to make places for us to live and
other animals too.

our everyday life. Even plants and animals also need water. We also need
water to build buildings. Water is very important in our life. We depend on
the environment for water to live and for our need for everything. However,
we need to preserve them and share them with others too. We have to water

to give them water to live too. we have to share with the environment too.
