Progress Report Protocol

1. Teachers will be responsible for adding all the goals into the new progress report form. All goals for all areas need to be on this one form. It
is suggested that they be entered sooner rather than later. Therapists should double check to be sure all the goals have been entered.
2. The font should be Arial size 10.
3. If you want to copy and paste from the ARI from the childrens server, find that childs name and the current ARI. Be sure to check the
current IEP goals to make sure they match before you copy and paste. When pasting, use right click on the mouse and choose the last option
(the one with the A). You may need to change the font and size to Arial 10.
4. Once the progress report is filled in with goals and objective/benchmarks it can be saved in the Childrens Server, Progress Reports, then in
the individual teachers folder. Save as: childs last name, childs first name,(double space)PR (double space)school year (ex. 2015-16)
5. When writing the narrative, remember to keep it positive and parent friendly. Write about how the child is doing overall, not just on the goals.
Document any regression noted during that reporting period.
6. Progress Reports are due at least a week before they will be sent home. Everyone will be commenting on the goals on this one progress
report. It will be the Teachers responsibility to let their supervisor know that all the progress reports for your class are complete, meaning that
all therapists and the teacher have commented on the goals. Everyone will add their name to the sign in box. Try to space it so your name is
near your comment.
Tips for using the new progress report form:
To add extra grids:
Place the cursor in the last row, 4th quarter box to the right in the objective and bench mark row and click to keep it there.
Then press your tab button on the keyboard.
It should add an extra line. You will need to add the Goal and Objective/Benchmark heading
To move the boxes to the next page so the printing does not go over the footer at the bottom of the page:
First place the cursor to the left of the G in GOAL for the first line/grid you need to move to the next page.
Click on page layout from your top heading tool bar
Find breaks.
Click on it then on the first selection- page This should move the rest of the grid to the next page.
