activity? Explain.
Class AP55213 (End of semester three)

We only used it twice.

Transcription.
listening/discussion.
Listening, because it's the only part we actually need to focus
on or get any benefit from.

Q6- What was the most challenging EFA

activity? Explain.
Class AP00314 (Semester Two)

The listening because we don't know most of the vocabulary.

Transcription.
Transcription because the listening is also a bit difficult.
Too many people trying to talk at one time.
Transcription/Editing is consistently the most difficult for me.
Fill in the blank.
Transcription.
It wasn't really challenging.

Q7- What was the least challenging EFA

activity? Explain.
Class AP55213 (End of semester three)

Pre discussion/some of the vocab.

Pre listening.

Q7- What was the least challenging EFA

activity? Explain.
Class AP00314 (Semester Two)

Group discussion; its not meant to be anything other than

summary and reflection.
translation .
Group Discussion because I enjoy speaking.
I genuinely can't remember pre-discussion.
Moving the breaks in words.
Listening.
I don't really remember any specific activities.

Q8- What do you suggest to be done differently

if the same EFA is to be taught again?
Class AP55213 (End of semester three)

Consistency.
Introduce EFA in mid semester 2 (around Unit 8) when higher
level topics start to be introduced to help reinforce
comprehension of these concepts and 'reading between the
lines.
Introduce at an earlier level that would be more beneficial to
user/better curriculum integration.
used earlier in the course.
Teach it much earlier in the course.

Q8- What do you suggest to be done differently

if the same EFA is to be taught again?
Class AP00314 (Semester Two)

N/A.
Smaller groups.
Smaller speaking groups.
Smaller groups and more focus on grammar.
If it were to be very useful, it needs to be done more often.
In smaller groups.
More time.
Large group activities are really worthless in such a fast paced
course. I would suggest cancelling it completely.

Plan of Action Summary

Introduce EFAs at lower levels.

Smaller group discussions at lower levels.
Bi weakly in semester one. Once a week in semester two and three.
More emphasis on transcription and fill in the blank in semester
one and two (lower level).
More emphasis on listening and group discussion in semester three
(higher level).
More than one listening passage of the same topic in an EFA lesson
in semester three.
Less emphasis on pre listening and brainstorming activities in
semester three.
