A Wildland Firefighter Type II participates in wildland fire operations,

including: ignition, control, mop-up, suppression, monitoring, etc. Type II
Wildland Firefighters must be able to pass annual physical and mental
testing and successfully perform all tasks required of them in their position.
The Public Information Officer encompasses a highly responsible
administrative position, the primary duties of which include serving as the
department representative to the media and assisting in developing and
implementing an effective public relations program. The Public
Information Officer gives talks, lectures, and demonstrations to the public.

As a Southern Utah University German tutor I spend 5 hours a week

helping students one-on-one with their German homework and any
problems they might have while learning the German language.

repairing damaged disks. Kept track of personal payroll and handled the
movement of cash from register to money safe.

Completed the Southern Utah University EDGE (Education Designed to

Give Experience) Project. The EDGE Project is designed to give students
the unique opportunity to achieve a personal or professional goal while
working towards their degree. It was through this project that I completed
my Firefighter Type II training, which gave me skills and experiences that I
may never have obtained if it wasn't for the SUU EDGE Project, skills which
I will use throughout the rest of my life.
