Welcome

to our
Class!
The importance of
a communitycentered
classroom
In our classroom, we
promote a community
atmosphere. We
encourage and expect
all children to be
friendly and respectful
to one another. At the
beginning of the school
year we will develop a
list of classroom rules
together and do a lot of
activities to help the
students become
acquainted. We want
the children to feel
comfortable together
and free to ask any
questions they may
have. Bullying and
mean actions will not
be allowed or tolerated
in our classroom.

Students are #1
When students have a
question or are
struggling its important
for them to feel
comfortable talking to,
asking for help, or just
expressing themselves
to a teacher. That is
what I hope to achieve
with having a
community-centered
classroom.
Another important thing
to me is linking
classroom learning to
students lives. I want
the students to feel
comfortable expressing
their likes/dislikes and
struggles so that we can
work on them together
and continue to develop
a lifelong love of
learning.

Where we take
pride in our
Community
