On Tuesday, Johnson County District Court Judge Sara Welch sentenced 43 year old Jeremy Claerhout to 117 months in custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections. On January 11, 2015, Olathe Police Officers responded to an automobile accident in the area of South Ridgeview Road and East Sheridan Bridge Lane. The two vehicles involved were being driven by Clarehout and 34 year old Christopher Willdermood. Willdermood was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash. Assistant District Attorneys Ann Henderson and Will Hurst prosecuted this case. The Olathe Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriffs Office Criminalistics Laboratory were the investigating agencies.
