Spanish for Educators Level I

The Arlington Public School Systems has invited educators from the region to register for Spanish for
Education. The distance learning course is designed to provide educators with skill to communicate with
students and parents in their native language. Spanish for Educators is sponsored by the Arlington Public
School System and partially funded from a Department of Education STAR Schools Grant.
You may view the lessons on ACPS-TV, Channel 71 either from home or school. Part I will broadcast from
Tuesday, September 24 through Thursday, December 5, 2013 (skipping Tuesday and Thursday
Thanksgiving week). The Tuesday broadcast repeats at 10am on Saturday. The Thursday broadcast
repeats at 11:30am on Saturday.
There is a non-refundable fee of $30. Checks should be made payable to, Arlington Public Schools and
should include SFE 1 Registration in the memo line. All participants will receive print materials.
Participants who complete all assignments and the final project will receive 30 recertification points. Use
Course Code 11121 to register in ERO. For additional information, contact the Curriculum and
