There are many entertaining places and events families can enjoy together. One place
where many people visit and keep visiting today is the circus. The circus is visited by thousands
of people per event. The circus consist of many performers and animals. Many people are
amazed of the different tricks that they prepare and show. Not only do the people show different
tricks but they make the animals perform tricks as well. The animals are also fun to watch them
do different kind of tricks and unexpected movements. People enjoy watching these animals
perform a variety of tricks. Although animals make the circus shows more interesting and
exciting, they should not be allowed because they are brutally mistreated and taken away from
their natural habitat.
Animals make the circus shows more fun and exciting to watch. As the animals begin
their act they are wearing colorful suits. The animals are dressed in a appropriate attire for the
event. The elephants wear these beautiful, colorful, long upper body suit and on their faces they
are wearing a sign of the name of the circus. The other animals do not wear any colorful attire
but they perform bigger tricks then the elephants. The shows are really fun because the animals
have perform many different types of tricks. Some of the tricks they perform are when the
elephants have to stand on a ball and roll down the stage. One famous trick that the elephants
have to perform are when three or more elephants get on their two feet and get on top of the
other. The elephants also have to carry people on top of them so that the performer can show
tricks. Elephants are not the only animals in the circus, there are tigers and lions. The tigers and

the lions are really big and they also perform different tricks like jumping through big hoops and
rolling into a metal hamster wheel. They are also jumping from stand to stand without stepping
on the ground. These animals look amazing doing these types of performances because they big
creatures doing something out of its ordinary. Even though the animals are trained to do these
tricks they are also being brutally mistreated.
Animals should not be allowed in circus because they are brutally mistreated. In the
circus it requires animals to practice and rehearse on a daily basis. According to Asian for
Humans, Animals and Nature, Mistreatment is always involved somewhere along the line
during the initial training sessions or while reinforcing the required performances behaviors after
several months. This is expressing that during any practice there will always be a mistreatment
towards the animals because the trainers want them to perform a certain way. Many animals are
beaten during training because they are tired and exhausted from performing many times that
they want to take a break and can not. According to AHAN, during training they do not receive
any type of food, water, or rest if they do not perform well and it explains that animals only
perform a certain way out of fear. Animals should not be living in these conditions that they only
eat if they perform a certain way. Not only do they get beaten during a practice or a rehearsal but
they are beaten during a performance.
The animals are being wiped by the trainer and put in small cages during the event. As
the animals perform there is always a man inside the cage with the tigers and lions. The trainer
inside the cage carries a wipe with him all the time he is performing. He uses the wipe to be able
to tell the animal in a demanding way that he wants the animal to act a certain way. The wipe is
used to hurt the animal and make the animal feel overpowered. There are two different types of
whips that are used that are similar to the horses whips. According to elastic rod whipmaking, the

first type of whip was eighteen inches long, straight whip with a short lash and popper. The
second whip is called the lunge whip with a five inch handle with a lash and popper that is twice
as long as the handle. These whips may be used at the same time during the animal's
performance where the lunge whip is used on the right hand and the straight whip on the left.
Also according to the elastic rod whipmaking, while the animals are performing the trainers are
around them and start whipping any random animal during their performance. Not only are they
being brutally mistreated but they are not living the wildlife.
Animals are taken away from their natural habitat. All of the circus animals are caged
during shows and on a daily basis. Everyday the animals are returned to their cages either after
rehearsal and performances. Circus animals are accustomed to living in these cages because of
traveling purposes. For example when the circus company has to perform in a different country
they need to be able to transport the animals and they put them in trains to take them from
country to country. They are not able to move freely in a cage or a cart especially if there is a lot
of other animals in the same space. Animals are suppose to live in the wild because it is a norm
to them. They are suppose to be able to be independent, able to find their own food, and be able
to live out doors. As cubs they begin to learn the norms of their habitat and how they are suppose
to live on their own. In the circus when an animal has a baby, the baby is automatically taken
away from the mother and is nurtured by the people. This baby animal does not know what the
wild life is about and how to survive on it own. The life for this animal is already unfortunate to
them because since birth they could not be unidad with their families. Animals do not deserve to
be taken away from their families and their environment.
The circus looks fun and wonderful but behind all the fun there are the animals that work
hard and are brutally mistreated on a daily basis. Animals do not chose if they want to be in a

circus or not, they are just unfortunately there. Most animals do not want to be in small spaces
and mistreated because they are not doing something correctly. They do not want to be chained
while they are sleeping or tied down because he is being forced. They are suppose to live a life of
freedom and what they consider happiness. Animals should be free because they are suppose to
be living in the wild and not living in the circus. They are not business and an entertainment for
people. They should be saved and be in their natural habitat with their families.
