INTRODUCTION

This work was created to meet the difficulties the parenting by a male head and
should have support to do his duty as father and mother. First of all you have to
annealing that changes in family structures or systems resulting from economic
and structural changes, political, cultural, that occur in society, hanging the
historical moment, the type of culture and ethnicity. In her family dynamics,
emotional ties and the role of being a father and mother at the same time be
recognized. At present the Parent family is framed within a growing process that
gradually has been overshadowing the traditional model of the nuclear family,
where the structure, dynamics and leadership suffer internal changes that affect
the complexity of relations and intra-familial interactions due that this new type
of family is assumed for various reasons leading to the head of household is
assumed by one member of the couple (male / female) either because the input
path or causes of single parenthood are given in terms such as "maternity / or
extra-marital lone parenthood, widowhood, separation and / or divorce, the
couple's imprisonment, illness, separation paternal / maternal absence due to
emigration, or for specific professions that prevent conjugal life "1, allowing
understand the phenomenon of lone parenthood is diverse, complex and
changing, but we can mention that this type of family is defined as one (single)
composed of one parent family structure and its progeny (BARRON LOPEZ,
Sara: 1998). This project will undertake the training of students in Social Work
Foundation Unimonserrate; Liliana Ramirez, Mari Garcia and Claudia Pea.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Recognize the impact of parenting on the part of a father figure and
socioeconomic characteristics in it.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Knowing that socioeconomic characteristics of the family.

Identify patterns of parenting that encourages the father to his
children.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

SINGLE PARENT FAMILY

Jociles, and Monc Rivas (2008), discussed the difficulty that occurred in the
social sciences to identify and define the term conceptually parent family, which
appeared in 1970. It was from the book of Schlesinger (1969) hosted by
scholars on the where families begin to replace the names receiving marriages
were separated or divorced, they were called for disqualifying way "incomplete
families", "single father", "mother single head of household", "broken families",
"broken families "" broken families "... Iglesias Ussel (1998) states that
conceived these family situations were the result of lack and failure. Lefaucher
(1988) denotes a valuable aspect of feminist critics who claimed the family
structure distinguish who was the breadwinner for the households headed by
women were given the status of family. Similarly, while single parents this
redefinition was given, by the academic community appeared changes in
marital relations and falls marriage as a social institution, generating increased
separations, divorces and new types of family as a single parent. Today when
we talk about single parents, refers to those in which there is only one parent,
either through death or separation or because children born out of wedlock.
Other single parents arises when a divorce occurs, the parents live in different
houses but continue to share responsibility and commitment to the children, this
type of family is called binuclear. The teenager lives with a parent but has the
support of both.

INCIDENCE OF SOCIOECONOMIC AND CULTURAL FACTORS

Incidence of socioeconomic and cultural factors Sven-David (1997) states the
family as a subject and influenced by changes that have occurred in their
economic, social and symbolic environment, it shows how the articulation of
these four social construction environments has created a new structure familiar
with features of traditional family, amending its internal and external relations.
Changes in family structure has been uneven and have been conditioned by
economic and cultural factors, which prevents structure a uniform definition of
what can be understood by family. As Ariza (2001) shows, in the middle and
upper classes the economic independence of women can lead to a more equal
distribution of housework, while the popular classes in the purchasing power of
women can build upset by the man who sees threatened his role as head of
household and his masculinity, manifested in increased domination and
violence against women.
In the middle and upper classes have been observed gradual changes: a
distribution, significant household chores that were previously assigned to
women. This has been reflected in the increasingly active role of the father in
the care and upbringing of children role. If they were as signs of effeminacy in
the nineteenth century, attitudes and tender care of infants, children, and as
actions that directly affected the maleness, in the twentieth and twenty these
attitudes, socially neglected before, begin to reassess, becoming indicator of
the work carried out by the father. This change of stance paradoxically among
several factors, was due to the blurring of the father as the center of authority
and economy of the family.

KEYWORDS:
Family parenthood, Head, Family

Parent family, which is defined as a parent group which can form an

independent household or join a larger home in which other people live.
This alleged correspondence is also envisaged that single parenthood as (only)
consisting of a parent and offspring composition bear most of the definitions
have been formulated in the academic literature and institucional.25 Accordingly
family structure, the single parent is one that is made by a man or a woman who
assumes the leadership and takes care of its members, which are dependent
both economically and socially

Headquarters, regard QUINTERO (81: 2007) mentions that the head is defined
as the characteristic of the structure of the family means a person who fulfills
the role of head of household and assumes the role of economic and psycho
proveedura protection.

Family is proven historically that the family is a necessary condition for the
development of the individual and society institution. The family structure and
functions have varied, but two of them are still met significantly:

Socialization: learning the norms and values of the society in which we live, in
order to perform the role as adults.

psycho-emotional protection: provide affection and security they need people,

primarily during the first seven years of life and affects the entire evolutionary
cycle.
Some functions previously belonged only to the family, now assume and / or
share other institutions, state and private organizations: domestic activities
(laundry, food), recreation (recreation and use of free time), childcare, elderly
and ill. Smaller family homes, generate the need for leisure and recreational
spaces outside the home. Other settings are met: reproduction of the species,
and genital sexuality, economic (coprovidencia).
The intrinsic relationship between family and society establishes a mutual
correspondence changes both: necessarily what influences the social context
affects the family system and vice versa.
